Ohanaeze youths urge Tinubu to include Shettima in his cabinet

Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide has urged Bola Ahmed Tinubu to include the National President of the Arewa Youth Consultative Forum (AYCF),Alhaji Yerima Shettima, in his cabinet.

This was contained in a statement released on Wednesday by the Igbo Youths Council. signed by the council’s National President, Mazi Okwu Nnabuike.

Okwu in the statement, pledged that it was a good decision as Shettima is a unifying figure for youth organizations in the country, and would represent every aspect of the youths’ interests.

He said that for several years, Shettima had used his wealth of experience to douse tension across the country by always reaching out to the various youths during periods of crisis. “He has devoted his life to the service of the country by championing peace and unity at all times,” he said.

The council’s president described Shettima, who is also the Board of Trustees, BoT, Chairman, Nigeria Ethnic Nationalities Youth Organisations as someone who has effectively galvanized the various ethnic nationalities youth organisation, and said that his undying passion for the unity and development of the country has been visible since the days of the military era.

Ohanaeze youth representative, while urging President Tinubu to consider the Arewa Youth leader, pointed out that his inclusion in the federal cabinet would accommodate the interest of the various youth groups in the country. He said that the council trusts Shettima’s capacity and assured Mr. President that it was a decision he would not regret.
